Today, 31 years ago, mankind received the greatest belated Christmas gift; the final triumph over the forces of communism that had terrorized the world for nearly 50 years passed into history, another empire that failed under the unfeeling and merciless touch of the ages and became yet another on the list to meet the ashes of history. The west had finally reached the final triumph over the Soviets 21 years ago, but much more than the superficial nature of the feeling of mere victory lay an assertion, an assertion of which meant much more than a triumph of nations over one another, more than the aroma of success and its sweet feeling, the universal truth had reared its head once again and proved that without freedom an empire, kingdom nor man cannot exist. When the universal truth is denied upon a man, be it by whatever entity, that entity is doomed to burn over the intense and blinding heat of a man’s or people’s fire and their collective yearning to be free; the Soviet Union experienced it in an instance of one of the fire’s most ferocious roars. An empire deemed too large to fail by many, too robust, too secured; an empire professed by many to be too large an obstacle for freedom to prevail, an entity that would be the inevitable fate of mankind, that their generation and all generations succeeding it would live under a tattered sky in bondage unaware of the freedoms once afforded to the free man and women of the world. In their professions, they neglected the fundamental truth, that a man must be free. To live without freedom is to lack oxygen as to which to breathe, to lack freedom is to live contrary to the natural state endowed upon us by our creator; that is why that empire and all others who make it and will make it their policy to block men from living in their natural state denying them entry from the paradise of freedom where harvests are bountiful and ideals free roaming will ultimately meet the ashes of history.
In what seems like a cycle for the naysayers who constantly seek to find an excuse or reason as to why freedom will not reach the next generation, they have declared China to be the next evil empire and horrible fate to meet humanity. “China will swallow the world” “China will conquer the western world” statements like these range on all scales of doom and doubt, but as always, they lack to see the truth flies in front of their eyes and ears, a sound and sight that screams louder and burns brighter than any known to man, to be free. We consecrate ourselves as the free man and women of the world to the alter of liberty, to the continuation of the freedoms we share and cherish, to a future where all the oppressed men and women living under the iron fist of tyranny be freed and celebrate the blessings of freedom bestowed upon us.
