2024 has come to a roaring finish as the world anticipates what 2025 has in store. This past year was unpredictable, like a wild game of Uno. An entire deck of colors cascade with the collapse of governments worldwide, a contentious election that ended with an unpredicted reverse card, and unceasing, wild-card global conflicts in Israel and Ukraine with no end in sight; in the storm of unpredictably one constant will surely remain, the BOW team’s commitment to bridging the divide in the eye of the storm. In 2025, we’re doubling our efforts to provide stability to the game-table, reimagining the vivid world of politics into digestible commentary for our youth audiences across the nation.
Our New Year Resolutions
Adding to the New Year’s Resolution pile, we propose a fresh start, maintaining a healthy, productive, and vibrant space of community, writing our way through our perceptions and goals.
- Covering international affairs—by expanding our perspective to include international coverage, it’ll elucidate events at home and aid in balancing out extremes with sensible happenings and reality around the world.
- Consistency—readers can expect a dedicated team so as soon as the big events that shake the political paradigm happen, Bridge of Wills will be ready for a response. Readers can expect a weekly contribution, and in the next few days it’ll manifest in a history editorial by our Vice-Editor and an article honoring President Jimmy Carter’s legacy releasing on January 9th.
- Collaboration and input—we’re expanding our outreach by bringing back Guest Wednesday to give young people a direct voice to express their vision— a diverse facilitator for unity as a core value found within our publication.
Conclusion
Welcoming 2025 at our doorstep, we answer its call as we write our articles, with each message reverberating our mission to civically engage and educate our online audience.
